The Cambridge Imprint Charleston Ripple Hardback Notebook is a beautifully crafted slim hardback notebook, inspired by the beloved patterned German Insel-Bücherei books of the inter-war period — those elegant little volumes that also inspired King Penguins and later Ladybird books in the United Kingdom.Covered in the Charleston Ripple patterned paper — part of the Cambridge Imprint for Charleston collaboration — each notebook contains 80 pages of plain cream paper, sewn properly and bound to open completely flat. The Ripple pattern draws on the distinctive decorative spirit of the Charleston farmhouse in East Sussex, home of the Bloomsbury Group’s artists Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant.
