Ozempic

Ozempic (Semaglutide) is an injectable drug used to treat type 2 diabetes and it has a weight loss effect by reducing appetite and promoting feelings of fullness. It works by mimicking the effects of naturally occurring glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1), which is a hormone that regulates appetite and glucose levels in the body. Ozempic is not indicated for Weight loss in the UK. However, an identical alternative called Wegovy (by the same manufacturer) is currently available for weight loss.
