Domaine Vico, Rose Forca di Pero, 2025

Corsican rose with real character, made biodynamically from the island's two signature grapes. Domaine Vico, founded in 1901 and now run by Manu Venturi, farms in the center of Corsica (Centru di Corsica) in the foothills of the island's mountains, and Forca di Pero, Corsican for "the fork of the pear tree," blends Niellucciu and Sciaccarellu off thirty-year-old vines on pebbly, gravelly soils. The result is a dry, aromatic rose with more grip and personality than your average pink. A current-vintage bottle to drink young while it's vibrant. A great introduction to Corsica's distinctive, pure wines.
