The internal perimeter adjusts across a wide range, accommodating substantial ankle and leg circumference without compromising the integrity of the lock. The nickel-plated steel construction gives the cuffs their characteristic weight and cold, unyielding presence. The connecting chain runs approximately 38 cm, allowing limited natural movement while maintaining clear restriction between the legs.
