If Baby Could Talk
One step… two steps… three steps… four! If babies could talk, they might have quite a lot to say. This charming collection of poems explores the tiny triumphs, big feelings and everyday discoveries that fill a baby’s world. About the Author and Illustrator Michael Wagner is a children’s author, speaker and storyteller who writes for both early childhood and older readers. His books include Why I Love Footy, illustrated by Tom Jellett, as well as the Maxx Rumble, Undys and Ted series. Before becoming an author, Michael worked as a radio broadcaster with the ABC, wrote and produced award winning animation for television, and performed comedy. He also runs the publishing venture Billy Goat. Jess Racklyeft is a Melbourne based illustrator who works primarily in watercolour, creating artwork for children’s books, greeting cards and a range of creative projects. With two young children of her own, she found plenty of inspiration close to home and even chased her baby around the house to sketch those first wobbly steps.
