Along the path of the Danube in Lower Austria runs a loess cliff up to 40 meters high: the Wagram. The name of this traditional wine-growing region can be traced back to the 12th century. Wagram is derived from "Wogenrain" and describes the deep layer of loess that was formed from the ice age deposits of the primordial sea; it is special soil that gives the wine of this region its unmistakable character. Tasting note: Rosé wine from Merlot and Pinot Noir, light pink hue, fresh and lively with aromas of red berries and cherries Ideal summer wine, goes well with antipasti, poultry or grilled fish.
