Identity Hermès Nantucket Ref. NA2.110, 2026. Quartz movement. Steel case, 32 × 17 mm, "rectangle within a rectangle" architecture with half-links inspired by the Chaîne d'ancre, signed crown. Opaline silver dial, stylised Arabic numerals, steel baton hands. Sapphire crystal. Étoupe leather strap with white saddle stitching by Hermès and signed steel pin buckle. Original water resistance 3 bar. Horological context The Nantucket was introduced by Hermès in 1991, designed by Henri d'Origny — the maison's iconoclastic designer, also behind the Arceau and the Cape Cod. Conceived as the rectangular companion to the latter, it adopts a singular architecture, a "rectangle within a rectangle" formed by half-links enclosing the case. This geometry is directly inspired by the Chaîne d'ancre bracelet, a motif imagined by Robert Dumas in 1938 during a stay on the Normandy coast and since become one of the maison's defining emblems. The Nantucket transposes this maritime origin into watchmaking: the anchor chain shapes the silhouette, and the very typography of the numerals carries its imprint. Thirty-five years after its launch, the Nantucket remains a Hermès catalogue classic, available in steel, in gold, and across a wide range of dials and straps. Character Lady variant of the Nantucket in 32 × 17 mm, steel on étoupe leather with white saddle stitching. New, unworn watch, acquired in exchange for a vintage piece. Delivered with its original box, invoice and Hermès international warranty, and Contre-Temps two-year warranty.
