Bassett-Lowke (by Markie) 3/4” Scale Traction Engine Model

A lovely 3/4 inch scale Bassett-Lowke traction engine model, as produced by Bassett-Lowke but assembled and finished by Markie Models (Fareham Engineering Co.). Parts for the Bassett Lowke traction engine were available until the end of the business however continued to be supplied to Bassett-Lowke Railways and others thereafter. It is likely that this model was therefore manufactured by Bassett-Lowke but assembled and finished by Markie Models. The model does not currently run however turns over smoothly by hand. The issue appears likely to be a blockage. Otherwise, it is a good, presentable model which makes for a stunning display item and great collectors’ piece. Some minor wear to the paintwork but generally cleans-up nicely. The model was originally designed to be fitted with a spirit burner tray however could equally be fitted with gas burner. This particular model does not come equipped with either. Measurements as shown in photos. Any questions feel free to ask.
