11oz Blue Denim Work Coat

PRE-ORDER: Est. Dispatch 29/05 - 05/06 The work coat is a staple in Sugar Cane collections. It was commonly used as workwear on the railroads in the early 20th century. SC's version is made of 11 oz. blue denim, and as we would expect from Sugar Cane, every detail has been faithfully reproduced. It is based on a post-World War II "store-brand" work coat. It features details such as asymmetrical chest pockets, a flap pocket on the right chest and a 3-in-1 pocket on the left chest. The large waist pockets have a fabric lining, and an inside pocket is also equipped on the right chest. The shoulders, sides, and sleeve cuffs are sturdily constructed with triple needle chain-stitches. Sugar Cane produced the selvedge denim fabric on a shuttle loom, using rope-dyed indigo yarn for the warp and grey yarn for the weft. This fabric will age just like a pair of jeans and become more and more beautiful the more you wear it.
