Yarn-Wrapped Rope Basket Making - Shannon Squire - Sat. 8/1
Saturday, August 1 2:00-4:00, 2 hours About this class: This is such a fun way to use leftover yarn to make something adorable AND useful! We'll use our time together to get started on our basket, cut/prepare yarn to make one, and start our stitching. These little bowl-baskets make wonderful gifts for your loved ones. Note that you likely will not finish your basket during class, but you'll have the skills and the knowledge to do so on your own time. Level: Beginner What you’ll need to bring to class: Worsted- and/or bulky-weight yarn scraps. Each bowl uses approximately 15 yards of worsted or bulky yarn. About the instructor: Hello, there! My name is Shannon Squire. I’m what you might call a craftasaurus rex. In other words, I’ve never met a craft I didn’t like. Once upon a time, I owned a knit shop in Portland, Oregon, and once upon another time, I designed knitting patterns. Now, I’m focusing on teaching the crafts I love: weaving, quilting, sewing, & embroidery, as well as loads of other crafty skills. One of my favorite things to do is to share my love of craft with others, and see that lightbulb of craftiness come on. Please note - Marketplace tickets are not included in the class price and will need to be purchased separately. In order to allow our instructors to prepare for their classes, we are not able to refund class purchases if your plans change. However, we are happy to transfer them if you find someone to take your place!
