About the cultivar Okumidori is a late-budding Japanese tea cultivar known for low astringency, a smooth mouthfeel and a vivid green colour. A note on freshness Matcha keeps its colour and aroma best for four to six weeks after opening. 500g comfortably suits anyone drinking matcha daily, or a household where more than one person is whisking. How to prepare Sift one scoop (about 1g) into a bowl. Add 60ml of hot water at around 80°C. Whisk in an M motion for 15 to 20 seconds until a fine crema forms.
