A Crisp Irish Blunderbuss by Alley of Dublin. With three stage octagonal to round barrel, belled at the muzzle, engraved, ’ALLEY, DUBLIN’ along the top-flat, plain steel tang, brass double border line engraved lock, signed ‘ALLEY’ below the pan and decorated with a spray of foliage at the tail, full-stocked in walnut, with brass mounts comprising double border line engraved side-plate, decorated with foliage around the screws, butt plate engraved with geometric designs along the tang, sun-burst engraved oval escutcheon, plain trigger guards with acorn finial, turned ramrod pipes, with what appears to be original brass-tipped ramrod with worm.
