Perovskia atriplicifolia | Russian sage
Russian sage (Perovskia atriplicifolia) is a sun-loving, aromatic shrub that is most often treated as a perennial. Tip: cut to the ground in spring to encourage strong shoots and good flowers. Distinctions: Selected as Perennial Plant of the Year from the Perennial Plant Association in 1995. Zones: 5 to 9 Family: Lamiaceae Type: Perennial Height: 36 to 60 in. Spread: 24 to 48 in. Exposure: full sun Soil Conditions: well-drained, average soil Bloom Time: July to October Native Range: Himalayas, western China
