Ico Parisi rosewood wall unit for MIM, Italy 1960s
This exceptional Italian mid-century rosewood wall unit was designed by Ico Parisi and made by MIM Roma in the 1960s. This refined piece showcases Parisi’s signature balance of architectural structure, luxurious materials, and meticulous detailing. Overall set size is H: 280 / W: 295 / D: 42 cm. The structure is supported by black-painted metal uprights that can also rest on the ceiling, creating a coherent composition. Chrome feet matching with aluminum furniture details contrast with the warmth of rosewood. In addition to the 3 shelves, the set includes a dresser, four cabinets with sliding doors, and an open cabinet. The rich rosewood veneer displays a deep, vibrant grain that enhances the wall unit’s sculptural form and sophisticated presence. A perfect example of Italian modern design from the 1960s—functional, elegant, and timeless. This unit would make a stunning addition to any interior. The unit can be arranged both, as floor to ceiling unit or a wall attached unit. Of course the most secure solution is to do both. The set includes: a dresser H: 56 / W: 95 / D: 40 cm, drawers inner height 11 cm, two large sliding door cabinets H: 56 / W: 95 / D: 40 cm, two smaller sliding door cabinets H: 38 / W: 95 / D: 33 cm, open chest H: 38 / W: 95 / D: 33 cm, two shelves 29 depth, one shelf 24 depth, four metal uprights 280 cm, adjustable within a range of -10 +10 cm. This piece has been cleaned and renovated. It remains in great vintage condition with absolutely minor signs of use. An original MIM Roma manufacturer’s label is preserved, confirming the authenticity of the piece.
