Ettringite on Calcite on Brucite

The specimen has a flat plate of brucite to about 1.4cm of depth that is topped with deposits of ettringite on calcite that covers the base plate end to end. Tyhe brucite matrix is a knitted formation of tabular hexagonal plated crystals. These created an aggregate formation. The calcite has a bi-pyramidal prismatic hexagonal habit. The ettringite presents as a bright yellow sugary precipitation. A very nice specimen that is very colourful.
