Expect plenty of hiking, scrambling, and challenging terrain as we explore some of the most productive fossil-hunting locations along the Yorkshire Coast. I’ll take you on a truly Jurassic adventure, sharing the knowledge and techniques I've developed from countless hours spent searching these incredible cliffs and beaches throughout the year. You'll learn where to look, what to look for, and how to maximise your chances of finding your own prehistoric treasures. The Yorkshire Coast in winter is wild, dramatic, and incredibly rewarding, offering some of the best fossil-hunting opportunities of the year. If you're looking for an authentic adventure and the chance to discover fossils in some spectacular locations, these special group days are not to be missed. Important Information: Participants must be aged 13 or over. Appropriate outdoor clothing is essential, as winter conditions on the coast can be challenging and unpredictable. Sturdy wellington boots or suitable walking footwear must be worn. Each participant should bring their own rucksack for carrying finds, refreshments, and personal items. Fossil hammers are permitted; however, all participants will be expected to follow strict fossil-hunting codes of conduct and collect responsibly at all times.
