Includes a highly detailed, decorative neo-classical or Empire-style ornamental title cartouche. Displays a miliares indicator featuring up to five different geographic scales (Spanish leagues, French leagues, maritime miles). The map was originally drafted by the prominent Spanish cartographer Tomás López de Vargas Machuca, corrected and updated by German cartographer Franz Ludwig Güssefeld, and published in Nuremberg by the famous publishing house Homann Heirs in 1782.
