Sumatra Kerinci Honey
INFORMATION TASTING NOTES VARIETIES This is the first honey processed coffee we’ve ever had from Sumatra. Indonesia is one of the oldest growing regions in the world, planted by the Dutch initially on the island of Java. Traditions are as well-rooted as the distinct varieties of coffee grown there, so the fact that new processes are appearing is a testament to worldwide communication. We bought this coffee from our friend Brian at Anthem Coffee Imports. They work with a guy named Craig Owens, who I met years ago. Craig initially went to Sumatra as a missionary, which immediately made me suspicious, but I can attest that the guy exports some very tasty coffees. He works with smallholder producers in the Kerinci region, providing seedlings and education, and apparently innovation. EARTHY BUTTERSCOTCH GRAPEFRUIT BorBor TimTim
