Summertime Herbal Rituals - Begins Wed. Eve. June 17th

A three part series exploring intention, plant connections, and herbal medicine making through the summer season. Each class can be taken individually or enjoy the entire series for a discount. Connecting with the seasons through ancient practices of reciprocity with the flora of our local region is a potent opportunity to open our hearts to a kinder, more just world. Join Maureen Boland of Mt. Tam Herbals and long time instructor at Gathering Thyme for a three part series focused on the magic of summer herbal medicine. RITUALS OF THE SUMMER SOLSTICE Wed. June 17 from 6-8:30pm - $100 plus $20 materials fee Move toward the summer solstice with an evening focused on stepping into the longest day of the year with intention. We will explore what the solstice means to us and create rituals and herbal crafts to bring to the longest day of sunlight. Bring a journal to record your thoughts. A $20 materials fee is collected at the beginning of the workshop. SUMMER EVE HERB WALK Wed. July 15 from 6-8:30pm - $40 Join us for an herbal evening on a special path in Marin County. Learn the lore and medicinal properties of our local flora. Connect with these magical plants, learn to identify them and discover their incredible value as herbal medicines. SUMMER MEDICINE MAKING Wed. August 19 from 6-8:30pm - $100 plus $20 materials fee Let's make summer medicine together! We'll make stovetop hydrosols, bath salts, and smoke clearing bundles from local plants that are abundant during our sparkling summer days. You'll leave with new skills and a handful of take-home delights. A $20 materials fee is collected at the beginning of the workshop. Maureen Boland, MPH (she/her) comes to western clinical herbalism with a client-centered and compassionate approach to care informed by 20+ years of community health work, serving disenfranchised populations and specializing in women's health. She is inspired by the power of plants and their ability to bring us back into balance. She believes we all need a gentle lift and push to thrive in this world and enjoys partnering with people on their healing path Maureen has a keen interest in women’s/AFAB/queer health, the musculoskeletal system & mental health but loves exploring all aspects of the human body. She is a medicine maker and clinical herbalist with her own practice, Mt. Tam Herbals, where she welcomes clients of all backgrounds. With a deep commitment to comprehensive and accessible healthcare, Maureen is thrilled to be a part of Gathering Thyme's herbal clinic and faculty.
