Hand Spun Yarn - Bluefaced Liecester Wool

This 100% Bluefaced Leicester fibre was spun up into a fingering weight, 2 ply yarn, using my Ashford E-Spinner. This skein weighs 222 grams and measures 1,025 yards long. Spun from two separate braids of 26 Micron 100% BFL, I’m in love with the natural sheen and wooly-ness of this rustic yarn! The colours of the two braids don’t provide any sharp hue changes, but more a gentle flow from lighter berry purples, and cooler greyish mauves, with a wonderful barber pole effect that makes handspun yarn so beautiful! Hand spun yarn is special to work with, as it really does have a personality of it’s own, compared to commercially spun yarn. It is, by nature, imperfect, making your hand knits even more wonderful and unique! Hand wash in cold water, lay flat to dry to preserve the dyes and quality of the fabric.
