Intelligent Battery Management AIR COOLED Technology Electronic Single Cell Protection (ESCP) Capacity Display Metabo Basic Set 18V 2 x 4.0Ah LiHD Battery with ASC 55 Air Cooled Charger 685163380 Features: Metabo LiHD Li-Power 4.0Ah Battery: LiHD battery packs for high power and long runtimes Intelligent battery management for long-lasting battery Patented “AIR COOLED“ charging technology Permanent Electronic Single Cell Protection (ESCP) when charging, for particularly long life Processor-controlled charge and discharge management Capacity display for continuous monitoring of the charge status High storage capability with almost no self-discharge Many brands, one battery pack system: This battery pack is compatible with all 18 V machines and chargers of the CAS brands Metabo ASC 55 Charger: The universal one: one charger for all slide-on battery packs of all Volt classes (12-36V) Patented "AIR COOLED" charging technology for short charging times thanks to cooling the battery pack during the charging cycle Optimal communication between battery pack and charger for maximum service life of the battery packs "AIR COOLED" function: the patented principle is based on air-cooling the battery pack during the charging process. The battery packs are gently cooled down to the required charging temperature, and then during the charging process are constantly maintained at optimum temperature. With this principle, a higher tool life of the battery packs and up to 30% shorter total charging time can be achieved.
