Early 19th Century French Brass Fire Fender
A wonderfully decorative early example, with the front rail flanked at either end by beautifully cast brass figures of a lion intertwined with a serpent. The two end sections are joined by an extendable steel and brass rail, allowing the fender to be adjusted to suit different fireplace widths. Beautiful quality casting, lovely, aged brass patina and a striking piece of fireside furniture. (1087C) Dimensions: 120 cm fully extended
