Journey Across Country Aboriginal Art Comforter Set

This artwork represents families and tribes travelling across Country, living off the land and keeping culture alive through the stories, knowledge and traditions passed down through generations. Kelly says: “Growing up out bush, we were always travelling across Country, through the APY Lands to Uluru and Alice Springs, down through Coober Pedy and Port Augusta, and back home to Indulkana and my nana, Millie. The journey lines in this artwork carry those memories: the roads and ancient paths we travelled, the waterholes where we stopped, and the campsites where family gathered beneath the stars. My nana took me everywhere with her. I watched her and her sisters come together for inma, sharing Dreaming stories and dancing the Seven Sisters. Through her, I learnt about family, culture, responsibility and our connection to Country. Journey Across Country honours my nana Millie, our family and the Country that shaped who I am today.”
