Previously, extremely small and narrow areas had to be polished by tapering the tip of the existing 4 mm-wide Asakichi Whetstone. With these new sizes, such areas can now be polished precisely and effortlessly. All stones are 50 mm long. Rather than holding these extremely thin stones directly, they are inserted into a specially designed mechanical-pencil-style holder, sold separately. The stone is loaded in the same way as mechanical pencil lead, with only the tip protruding from the holder for polishing. Please note: Only the two ends of the stone can be used for polishing. The sides cannot be used. Suitable for a wide range of applications, including kintsugi, maki-e and raden.
