A Wayfarer's Tale: The Journey Begins

Set sail for adventure. A Wayfarer's Tale is a game of journey and discovery in which every player charts their own course across uncharted islands, collecting treasure and avoiding monsters as they explore new locations. The dice are shared, but the maps are not: each turn everyone draws from the same roll to mark out their own route, so play is simultaneous and there's no waiting around for your go.Spend the shared dice pool to enlist a companion with variable powers to help you on your way, visit taverns, and race your rivals to be the first to see what lies over the next ridge. When any player reaches the last town on their board the game ends immediately, and points are tallied for the towns you visited, the treasure you discovered and the monsters you encountered. The player who has filled the most of their map wins.Four unique maps keep the voyage fresh, and a full solo mode is included for the lone wayfarer. The retail edition comes with four double-layer player boards, a bespoke organiser tray and felt-tip pens, so it's ready to play straight out of the box.
