Outkast - Atliens (2LP / Marbled Emerald Forest Green Vinyl)

OutKast – ATLiens OutKast’s ATLiens is a landmark blend of Southern hip-hop, alternative rap and atmospheric funk, showcasing the duo’s innovative approach to production and storytelling. Released in 1996, the album moves beyond conventional rap sounds with deep basslines, hazy synthesizers, futuristic textures and laid-back, hypnotic grooves. André 3000 and Big Boi bring contrasting yet complementary styles, pairing introspective lyricism with confident flows and sharp observations about life, ambition and identity. “Elevators (Me & You)” captures the album’s smooth, spacey atmosphere, while “Two Dope Boyz (In a Cadillac)” delivers a harder, more energetic edge. Inventive, moody and unmistakably original, ATLiens helped redefine Southern hip-hop and remains an essential release for fans of forward-thinking rap.
