Black Velvet Gooseberry
A cross between the flavorful European gooseberry, R. uva-crispa, and the wild Pacific Northwest Worcesterberry, R. divaricatum. Berries have a rich, blueberry-like sweetness at full ripeness; rare among gooseberries. Vigorous and self-fertile, with dark reddish-black fruit and strong resistance to powdery mildew.
