SurgiWorld – 90° Steiglitz Post and Point Removal Forceps
Clinical UseThe 90 degree Steiglitz Post and Point Removal Forceps are used to remove broken posts, silver points and separated files from hard-to-reach posterior regions.Design and HandlingThe sharp, right-angle bend gives a clear line of sight while you work at the back of the mouth. Without the bend, the handles would block the view of the canal opening on a molar.Use it where the 45 degree and straight versions cannot give enough clearance.Retrieval TechniqueRetrieving a silver point, post or separated file is done under magnification with good light. Create access to the exposed end, take hold of it with the beaks, and apply gentle, steady pressure along the line of the canal. A twisting or rocking movement will often loosen a point that a straight pull does not.Take your time. Forcing the retrieval can fracture the root or push the object deeper. Rinse and clean the beaks after each case so debris is not left between the serrations.Retrieval forceps are fine instruments, so avoid using them to pry, and check that the beaks still meet cleanly before each case.Material and SterilizationMade from medical grade stainless steel. Autoclavable for repeated sterilization cycles. Clean and dry the instrument after each use, and check the working ends for wear or damage before it goes into the pouch.Product Features 90 degree bend for posterior access Steiglitz pattern forceps For broken posts, silver points and separated files Clear line of sight at the back of the mouth Handles retrieval in hard-to-reach areas Medical grade stainless steel, autoclavable
