Invoking Boundless Empathy: The Chenrezig Lotus of Compassion Statue This Chenrezig Lotus of Compassion Statue measures 8.6”/22cm in height and 7.0”/18cm across the base, with a weight of 1.62 kg. The sculpture is crafted from a copper body, forming the seated figure, four arms, ornaments, lotus flowers, and pedestal with carefully defined sculptural details. The surface is finished with 24K gold gilding, giving the figure and pedestal a radiant golden appearance while emphasizing the carved patterns across the body, garments, jewelry, and lotus petals. Acrylic painting is applied to selected areas such as the facial features, hair, eyes, and other fine details, creating contrast and definition against the gilded surface. The compact proportions and detailed finish make the sculpture suitable for a Buddhist altar, shrine, or sacred collection. The four-armed form is seated gracefully upon a lotus pedestal in a peaceful meditative posture. The two central hands are brought together at the heart in a gesture of devotion and compassion, holding the wish-fulfilling jewel between them. The upper right hand holds a mala, symbolizing continuous practice and recitation, while the upper left hand holds a lotus flower, representing purity and the unfolding of compassion. The serene face, elongated earlobes, crown, earrings, necklaces, armlets, and flowing celestial ornaments identify the figure as an enlightened bodhisattva in peaceful form. The open lotus blossoms rising beside the shoulders and the layered lotus pedestal further emphasize the symbolism of purity and compassionate activity. The four arms express the expansive activity of compassion, while the jewel at the heart represents the precious awakened mind.
