Mother of Pearl Necklace for Women, Labradorite Pendant, Handmade Jewelry Gift

Mother of Pearl and Blue Labradorite Teardrop Necklace I’ve made several versions of this design because I just love these two materials together. I hand soldered a luminous piece of mother of pearl shell into a teardrop and inset a smaller labradorite teardrop right into the center. The mother of pearl has that soft pearly luster that shifts as it moves, while the labradorite answers with a bright flash of blue and turquoise. They’re completely different materials, but somehow the light in one makes the other look even better. I finished the piece in silver and kept the design simple enough to let all that natural shimmer do the work. Handmade in my home studio. Bayou Glass Arts™...because apparently one kind of shimmer wasn’t enough. From inception to completion, each piece of jewelry is handmade by me with care in my home studio in Louisiana, USA. I take special care with packaging to ensure your jewelry arrives safely. Artisan Handmade Process My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I’m happy to help! Thank you so much for considering my work. ~Contina
