RDL RU-TPDA – Format-A Twisted Pair Distributor, 1 In 4 Out
What is the RDL RU-TPDA?The RDL RU-TPDA is a Format-A twisted pair signal and power distributor that takes one Format-A input and feeds four Format-A outputs. A LOOP OUT jack and power bus let up to 10 distributors link together for 40 outputs, with further expansion possible. Three dual-LED VU meters show the level on each audio pair, and the module powers all connected senders and receivers. How does it work? The RU-TPDA INPUT RJ45 jack accepts a twisted pair cable from one or more Format-A senders. Input circuits bridge the cable pairs, so the LOOP OUT jack can daisy-chain the signal to more distributors. Up to 10 distributors can be chained for 40 outputs, and one output can drive up to 10 more distributors for larger systems. Front-panel dual-LED VU meters monitor each of the three Format-A audio pairs. The module runs from 24 Vdc through either power jack or a detachable terminal block, and that power is fed to all modules on the input and output jacks. Each OUTPUT jack is protected by an automatically resetting fuse, and a rear LED for each jack helps identify wiring faults. A power bus and included jumper cable let several distributors share one power supply. Three distributors fit in one rack unit in the MAX RACK-UP chassis, using accessories such as the RDL RC-1UR. For local line-level sources, the RDL RU-TPS4A sender/distributor can be mounted beside it, and receivers such as the RDL D-TPR1A recover the audio. What are the key features? One input, four outputs — Feeds four Format-A receivers from each distributor. Loop out expansion — Chain up to 10 distributors for 40 outputs. Powers the system — Supplies power to connected senders and receivers. Pair metering — Three dual-LED VU meters, one per audio pair. Protected outputs — Self-resetting fuse and status LED for each output jack. High-density mounting — Three modules per rack unit in the MAX RACK-UP chassis. Where is it typically used?
