AP C3 convertase autoantibody, Human, ELISA kit
The alternative pathway (AP) C3 convertase autoantibody kit is intended as an in vitro prescreening tool for the qualitative determination of AP C3 convertase autoantibodies in heat-inactivated serum or plasma. The results may support the identification of samples containing AP C3 convertase autoantibodies and help guide further clinical evaluation and confirmatory testing.

- Use
- The alternative pathway (AP) C3 convertase autoantibody ELISA kit is a qualitative ELISA intended for the in-vitro detection of IgG autoantibodies reactive with the AP C3 convertase C3bBb(P) in heat-inactivated serum or plasma. The assay may be used as a prescreening tool to identify samples containing C3 convertase-reactive autoantibodies, including potentially functional C3NeF autoantibodies. With a working time of approximately 1½ hours, the assay provides an efficient format using a plate with twelve disposable 8-well strips, allowing flexibility in batch size and the number of samples tested. Properdin dependence can be assessed by adding properdin (0.5–3.1 µg/mL) to the Factor B and Factor D mixture to allow formation of the C3bBbP complex. Properdin is not provided with the assay and must be supplied and added separately by the user. Perform the assay according to the standard procedure. Please note: This assay is not a functional test and does not assess C3 convertase stabilization or prolonged complement activation. It detects autoantibodies based on their reactivity with the AP C3 convertase and does not distinguish between pathogenic and non-pathogenic autoantibodies.
