RAY by midgard | floor lamp | black

RAY by Midgard is a portable, adjustable floor lamp designed by Christian Loddo and Hugo Berger in collaboration with David Einsiedler. Flexible steel bands form the characteristic structure of the luminaire and allow height and reach to be adjusted continuously with a precision slider. RAY Floor moves from 73 to 125 cm in height and reaches up to 74 cm into the room, creating an unusually wide field of positions from a reduced construction. An integrated rechargeable 14.8 V / 4500 mAh Li-Ion battery allows RAY to be used independently from a permanent power connection. The lamp can also be connected to power and charged through a textile cable and market-specific DC power adapter. The replaceable 10 W LED unit provides Tunable White light from 1800 to 4000 K with a colour rendering index of Ra95. Matter enables integration with compatible smart home systems. RAY is designed for repair. The LED unit and battery are replaceable, while the slider and flexible steel bands can also be repaired or replaced. 95% of the luminaire consists of steel and aluminium. The steel bands feature a nano coating. Engineered steel bands - made in Germany.
