It uses Wi-Fi 6 technology to deliver a combined theoretical dual-band wireless speed of up to 1501Mbps, making it suitable for streaming, gaming, video calls and everyday browsing. The 2.4GHz band provides speeds of up to 300Mbps with broad coverage, while the 5GHz band delivers speeds of up to 1201Mbps for faster, more demanding connections. Dual-band SmartLink can switch frequencies if the connection to the main router’s current band is interrupted, helping maintain more reliable network access. EasyMesh and Xiaomi Mesh support allow the extender to form part of a compatible whole-home Mesh network. Connected devices can automatically switch to the strongest available Mesh node as you move between rooms, providing smoother and more consistent coverage. Two high-gain, dual-polarised omnidirectional antennas improve signal transmission and reception. Beamforming technology directs the Wi-Fi signal towards connected devices such as smartphones and laptops for a stronger, more focused connection.
