22" Vikrampal Gong - Handheld

The Vikrampal 22" Handheld Gong is made by Oetken in Germany as part of the signature series for Vikrampal Singh, the Madrid-based music therapist and international gong and Kundalini Yoga teacher. Light enough to hold and carry, it is built for sound work on the move: walking through a gong bath, playing close to the body, or bringing the gong into a yoga class without a stand. Its voice sits around G#2–A#2, a focused, articulate tone that blooms quickly and answers soft mallet strokes with clear, shimmering overtones.About VikrampalVikrampal has taught Kundalini Yoga since 2012 and holds a master's in music therapy from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He trained in gong with Don Conreaux, Tom Soltron and Mehtab Benton, has led gong trainings in Spain, Sweden, Russia and beyond, and is the author of Gong Meditaciones and The Art of Meditating with the Gong. His signature mallets with Sela are available here.Specifications Size: 22" (56 cm) Approximate pitch: G#2–A#2 Weight: approx. 6.4 lb (2.9 kg) Style: Handheld Maker: Oetken, Germany Each gong is handmade, so pitch is approximate and varies slightly from instrument to instrument.
