Windmill Blades Mennonite Log Cabin Quilt

Windmill Blades (aka Pineapple Log Cabin) is the perfect name for this bold quilt with swirling logs. The choice of solid colors adds to the dramatic impact of this fine Mennonite quilt. Five borders that repeat the colors within are effective in containing this explosive pattern. The borders are quilted in a cable pattern with white thread. Sewn to the back is a label that says "J.E.S. Leola". Leola is a town in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The backing consists of two brown print fabrics that are pieced to create a square, Made circa 1880. Measurements are 86" x 89"; condition is excellent.
