The dropdown action of the loft hatch door is operated from below by way of a FREE of charge Tee Key which is included with every loft hatch order. For even easier operation from floor level, we recommend using our extended 700mm Tee Keys. This lightweight – draught sealed – loft hatch incorporates a 40mm thick Danopren TR40 insulation infill to the rear of the door to help the loft hatch achieve the required U-Value of 0.34 W/m2K to meet Part L of the Building Regulations. Available in the standard size of 550mm x 700mm, our loft hatch provides the required NHBC clear opening size of 520 x 620mm, but it is also extremely aesthetically pleasing due to the neat, clear and modern finish. We can also provide bespoke loft hatches. The loft hatch arrives on site Powder Coated RAL 9010 30% Gloss as standard. The Loft Hatch is manufactured here in the UK and arrives with you fully assembled and ready to install straight out of the box. Fitting couldn’t be easier, simply cut a hole 7mm bigger than the loft hatch size, screw through the pre-drilled holes in the sides of the frame into the joists to secure the loft hatch. Secure the door with the supplied tee key and that’s it!! Our standard insulated loft hatch requires 7mm clearance for fitting purposes, therefore the structural opening size is in your ceiling needs to be 557x707mm and will provide a clear opening with door at 90 degree of 520x630mm.
