As a weapon, the historical tessen, the iron war fan of feudal Japan, was used in situations where a samurai might be in a place or situation where swords and heavy weapons were prohibited. The ultimate in discreet everyday self-defense carry, the chromL enhanced tessen by Kingfisher WoodWorks is made of ultra dense stabilized wood. Liquid resin is infused entirely through the grain structure of premium Atlantic yellow birch and then cured in place leaving no air voids either outside or inside of the cell walls.
