Every length (6, 9, 12, 15 and 20 ft) is rated at a 735 lb working load limit with a 3:1 design factor. Length changes the reach of the strap, not its rating. What are vinyl S hooks? Vinyl S hooks are S-shaped hooks coated in polyethylene, which is commonly called vinyl. The strap's S hook, also called a finger hook, is shaped to limit webbing wear. Which length should I choose? Measure the path the strap takes around your load and add enough for the ratchet and tail. Lengths are 6, 9, 12, 15 and 20 ft. For heavier loads, look at 2-inch ratchet straps with higher working load limits.
