I spent a long while deciding what this piece needed for words. I was thinking about healing core wounds, and how it takes time. But then I remembered that we can't always heal from everything, and how that's absolutely okay. This song by Tool has helped me remember this many times. What's more important is that we continue on, as a listener to our bodies and after life something else. But that it is all temporary- which, strangely, makes everything feel safe? You are allowed to suffer, just as you are allowed to experience rapturous joy. All of this is okay. All of this is safe and valid and part of this short shared experience we're having here.
