High-performance bead filter for koi ponds, large ponds and demanding filtration systems. The Evolution Aqua K+ Advanced Filter is a powerful pressurised bead filter designed to provide both mechanical and biological filtration for koi ponds and large garden ponds. Using Evolution Aqua’s specialist K+ Media, this filter helps remove fine solids while supporting beneficial bacteria for improved water quality and a healthier pond environment. Available in multiple sizes, with or without blower options, the K+ Advanced Filter range is ideal for pond keepers who want strong filtration performance in a compact, pressurised system. Advanced K+ Media Filtration Technology The Evolution Aqua K+ Advanced Filter is a UK-manufactured pressurised pond filter designed to deliver powerful mechanical and biological filtration using Evolution Aqua’s advanced K+ Media. Built for koi ponds and large garden ponds, it combines strong waste removal, biological stability and efficient flow in a compact pressure filter system. K+ Media has been developed to help improve flow through the filter bed, reduce back pressure and support stable biological performance. Its protected surface area of 1,025m² per m³ helps maintain strong bio-films, while the media’s design allows it to mature quickly and efficiently. Built for Long-Term Pond Filtration Manufactured in the UK, the K+ Advanced Filter is produced using a rotational moulding process for strength and durability. The body is made from a single homogenous material, with no joint line, consistent wall thickness and built-in feet as part of the moulded body. This makes the filter robust, reliable and suitable for demanding pond environments. Economical to Run The internal double lateral design helps improve flow through the K+ Media bed, reducing back pressure on the circulating pump. This makes the K+ Advanced Filter an efficient choice for koi keepers looking for powerful filtration without unnecessary energy loss. Flexible Installation Options The K+ Advanced Filter can be installed as a standalone pressure filter, as part of a larger filtration system, alongside a Nexus+ filter, after a Cetus Sieve, or on a skimmer line. For best performance, Evolution Aqua recommends using 2" pipework on the pump side where possible. The K+ Advanced Filter 20 uses a 1½" multiport valve, so pipework may need to be reduced at the connection point. Why Choose the Evolution Aqua K+ Advanced Filter? Pressurised bead filter design – ideal for powerful, compact pond filtration Mechanical and biological filtration – removes solids while supporting beneficial bacteria K+ Media included – designed for high surface area and efficient filtration Suitable for koi ponds and large ponds Multiport valve included for easy operation and cleaning Available with or without blower depending on your setup preference Advanced K+ Media Filtration The K+ Advanced Filter uses Evolution Aqua’s K+ Media, which is designed to offer a high surface area for bacterial colonisation while also assisting with mechanical waste capture. This helps the filter: Trap suspended solids and fine particles Support biological filtration Break down ammonia and nitrite Improve pond clarity Maintain healthier water conditions for koi and pond fish K+ Advanced Filters are described as large bead filters that use K+ beads for both mechanical and biological filtration, operating at up to 1.5 bar maximum working pressure. With Blower vs No Blower – Which Should I Choose? The blower version is designed to assist with backwashing and cleaning, helping agitate the filter media during maintenance. This can make cleaning more effective, especially on larger systems or heavily stocked koi ponds. The no blower version is suitable for customers who already have a compatible blower, prefer to supply their own, or are replacing an existing filter body while keeping their current equipment. Suitable For The Evolution Aqua K+ Advanced Filter is ideal for: Koi ponds Large garden ponds Heavily stocked ponds Pond keepers wanting pressurised filtration Systems where powerful mechanical and biological filtration is required Key Benefits for Koi Keepers A well-sized bead filter can help deliver: Clearer pond water Improved waste removal Better biological stability Compact filtration compared with some traditional filter systems Easier maintenance when installed correctly Important Information This is a pressurised bead filter system.
