Its most distinctive feature is the cleverly designed upper compartment, opening to reveal a pull-out serving surface complete with its original fitted light, in working order (see video), casting a warm glow for evening drinks and creating a beautifully atmospheric moment. The interior retains all of its original mirrors, framed with delicate gold edging that catches the light elegantly, while the vibrant red glass serving surface adds an unmistakably retro touch and a welcome dose of personality. Below, generous shelved storage provides ample space for bottles, glassware, and bar accessories, concealed neatly behind doors. The cabinet stands confidently on elegant tapered legs, finished with original capped feet that were once brass-plated and now show gentle wear, adding honest character consistent with age and use. The rich timber tones, sculptural curved details, and decorative mirrored centre panel further reinforce its unmistakable 1950s appeal, offering a piece that feels both nostalgic and remarkably relevant in a contemporary interior. Condition: Completely restored & refinished and in overall good vintage condition for its age. The cabinet retains its original mirrors, gold detailing, red glass insert, and internal lighting, all contributing to its authentic charm. There are age-related markings and gentle wear visible in places, some repair marks, and some age-related wear, all in line with its vintage age. Overall, a very charming and well-cared-for piece dating to the 1950s and not detracting from its overall presentation. This piece did require more intense restoration.
