Set inside an antique box with a hinged opening, the interior is lined in deep black velvet. Inside is an atmospheric assemblage of vintage ephemera and natural specimens: seashells, a crab, seahors, preserved beetles, samples of snakeskin, a peacock feather, a starfish, a bee, a brass vintage keyhole, antique-style playing card fragments, and a small relic-style cross. The mix of sea life, entomology, and antique oddities gives it the feeling of a 19th-century collector’s travel cabinet or a forgotten museum drawer.
