Handcrafted at the historic 225 Parsons St. factory (the original home of Gibson) in Kalamazoo, Michigan, this 2000 Heritage Millennium is number 49 of 250 made. Though this model is still in production, this first limited addition run had special hollow trap fret markers and commemorative inlays. Introduced as a modern, thinner alternative to traditional jazz archtops, the Heritage Millennium stands out for its unique "semi-solid" construction. Rather than a solid center block, it utilizes a hollowed mahogany frame with a thin mahogany skeleton and a carved maple cap, which eliminates feedback while retaining incredible acoustic resonance. This instrument is in fantastic condition for being 26 years old, with minimal play and fret wear. Semi-hollow single-cutaway with a carved curly maple top and back.
