"Uphill State of Mind," 9x12 inch oil painting on panel (Copy)
I love hiking alone early in the morning. Especially if it gets me up above treeline while the light is still really good. And I pretty much never include figures, much less myself, in my paintings, but I just had to make this little homage to hiking solo in the White Mountains in the summer. I took the reference photo on Caps Ridge Trail using a timer. Good thing I was alone, because it looked pretty silly repeated walking back and forth to my camera to get the shot I wanted. 9 x 12 inch oil on panel painting. framed in a wood float frame. signed by the artist. wired and ready to hang. White Mountain art made by hand in Bethlehem, New Hampshire.
