Basic Life Support (Adult, Child and Infant (incl AED) - Theory

Basic life support provides healthcare workers with potentially lifesaving skills in response to a medical emergency while awaiting advanced interventions. Its main purpose is to preserve or restore life by the early recognition of an emergency, early call for help and management of airway, breathing and circulation with safe use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED) if required. This is an annual requirement for healthcare workers in Australia.
