On you look past the lugs, the true rich royal blue dial with light sunburst finish serves as the centerpiece. Under changing light it moves from inky navy to electric cobalt, the radial brushing catching the light in a way that feels almost liquid. In person its color is a true rich, deep royal blue. Although non-round watches are most often fitted with handwound movements, this model can have an automatic because it is powered by a caliber 711 movement, the thinnest automatic movement the company has ever made. The 700 series has a direct lineage to the celebrated 500 series, and is arguably as good, and collectors are beginning to recognize it accordingly.
