In this class, families will create their own pizzas using prepared dough, flavorful sauce, and a variety of toppings while enjoying a relaxed kitchen experience everyone can take part in. Our instructor will guide families step by step through the pizza-making process, including how to handle and shape the dough, spread the sauce, choose toppings, and bake the pizza. The class is approachable and easy to follow, making it a great option for families looking to cook together and try something hands-on. Families will also get an introduction to how pizza dough is made from scratch through an instructor demonstration. Because proper dough resting and proofing takes time, prepared dough will be used for the hands-on portion of the class so everyone can focus on shaping, topping, baking, and enjoying their pizzas during the workshop. Once the pizzas are ready, families will sit down together to enjoy the meal they created, followed by cannoli for dessert. It’s a casual, delicious way to spend time together, learn a few pizza-making basics, and enjoy a fresh family meal in our Flatiron kitchen. All supplies and materials are included. Our classes are hands-on, interactive experiences. So, please dress accordingly. We recommend wearing casual clothing that you won’t mind getting a little sugar on, and flat comfortable shoes. Open toed shoes and sandals are not recommended as this is a safety concern when working within a kitchen. Long hair should be tied back.
