Hawa Pants Kali
Ultra wide-leg, high-waisted trousers. Surface is Kali print: rain-fed Kenyan cotton pleated, packed with post-consumption iron and oxidised under the sun in tea residue, developed with Amos Kimani, 86, and Betty Cheruiyot, 23. No two pieces carry an identical surface. Flat waistband front, elasticated back. Inner loop in the left leg gathers and ties at the thigh for a draped, cropped styling option. Cord tie at the front waist is removable. Limited batch: the full process takes over two months, made entirely by hand.
