This cartridge is in the same range as the 458 Lott (2.8″) and the 458 Express (3″) and provides the benefits of easily loading a 500 gr bullet to 2200 – 2400 fps with a range of powders. In a pinch, 458 Winchester Magnum cases can be fired in a rifle chamber for this round but with reduced ballistics.
